Ethan attended Little Saints Pre School for two years. He has Special Educational Needs and required additional support to access the curriculum and activities at nursery. Our experience at Little Saints was extremely positive.
Little Saints is a fantastic nursery. There is little staff turnover which provides stability and continuity for the children. This was especially important for Ethan who was able to get to know the staff members working with him. There is excellent communication with the parents and the quality of written reports is consistently high. The staff are always available to address any concerns and were extremely flexible in meeting Ethan’s specific needs. The Special Educational Needs Coordinator at Little Saints spent a great deal of time accessing additional resources and funding for Ethan, and he has absolutely thrived at Little Saints. There was also extensive support to transition to Reception and I really feel the staff went above and beyond to ensure that Ethan got the best out of nursery that he possibly could have.
Little Saints is an excellent preschool and really prepares the children for school. There is enough structure to the day without being overly prescriptive. The learning journal that is kept for each child really gives a clear picture of what the children have done. The space where the preschool is held open and inviting, and encourages the children to access all the different activities during the day. The outside space is large and there are lots of things for the children to do. The activities are varied so that even children going every day will find something exciting to do. I was always impressed with the way the staff put so much effort into making sure all the children were included in everything, such as the Christmas and end of year productions, and all the outings the children went on. Gardening and cooking were definite highlights!
The kindness and care from all the staff was evident in everything they did. I felt that Ethan was safe, well-cared for and that he was encouraged to reach his full potential, and I am so grateful. I cannot recommend Little Saints highly enough; there is no other preschool I would consider sending my children to.
